SUMMARY OF THE TOEFL TEST
If you are a student and you wish to go abroad for your further studies, you need to give the TOEFL test in order to get admitted into your choice of college, institution, or university. Before attempting the test and before getting yourself prepared for the test, you need to ensure that the college/university/institution that you want to apply for, accepts the TOEFL test. If it accepts, then you can go ahead without any worries, and if it does not accept, it will be worrisome for you.
Know that the TOEFL test checks your ability of English language skills that include all the four key aspects of the language that include writing, speaking, listening, and reading. The test will be conducted in recognized centers nearby you and will be for about 3-4 hours. This time will be very crucial for you as you will have to prove your skills in this particular span of time.
You will be performing the tasks that will be combining all the mentioned 4 key communication skills. You will have to read, listen and then write in response to the question you have been asked. 4 DIVISIONS OF THE TOEFL TEST
- The reading section of the TOEFL test will take about 50-70 minutes wherein you will be asked 30-40 questions.
- The listening section of the test will take around 40-60 minutes and you will be asked around 30-40 questions.
- The speaking section of the test will take around 20 minutes and you will have to perform 4 tasks related to the same.
- The writing section of the test will take around 50 minutes and you will have to perform 2 tasks related to the same.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE TOEFL TEST
The time when you prepare for the test will be crucial as you will have to cover up all the topics and lessons, practice through courses, take up various tests, go through guides and books that offer you in-depth knowledge and guidance of details required for the test, you also have a few apps that help you prepare for the test.
There will be some things you need to keep in mind like finding your test location and date, your ID requirements for the test, how much the test and its preparation will cost you, registration for the test, how to cancel or change your registration (if it happens)
