3 ACTIVITIES TO HELP YOU IMPROVE YOUR ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Learning a language becomes more fun when you include fun activities. A language is much more than just English grammar and rules. It brings out a whole new culture. As we have already known that the English language is the language of the world. It is the most common language used by millions of people living across the globe.

Remember that when you know a language, you know the culture of it, the people of it. It makes you look at the world from a very different perspective. You cannot learn a language merely from books and textbooks. To get a hold of the English language, it is important for you to go and speak with people, how they speak, their tones and accents, and much more that revolves around learning a language.

If you are dedicated to speaking and learning English, within no time but with a lot of practice, you can achieve fluency. Even though you are a beginner or advanced in speaking good English, these activities will surely make you more interested in learning English. 

Curate a self-study program for yourself, regardless of it being online or offline. Keep an idea of the four core skills of English learning i.e speaking, reading, listening, and writing. It will be helpful if you have an idea of these four key skills of learning English. It will be an add-on if you keep a grammar book or a grammar textbook handy that will help you with the rules of grammar in a much more efficient way.

In case if you are struggling to find meanings of certain words and to express yourself, you might want to keep a dictionary by your side or wherever you go. You might also want to keep a small notebook handy wherever you go.

You could write down important stuff and you could also keep track of your learning progress. You can also write down new words that you come across when you hear someone speaking. Later, you could find its meaning and can use it in your daily conversations. In order to remember new and existing words, take up short periodic tests for yourself. You can also keep a track of what you are learning and what tests you are giving.

Whenever you are studying English and are practicing up new words and phrases, make sure that you have a teacher or a native speaker or a friend or a study buddy by your side. It makes it easier to study and keeps you engaged. If you are a beginner, you could look up some online websites that give you English tutors. These websites will give you your personal tutor on-demand who will be conducting your regular classes over online platforms like Skype or any video call. They will teach you how’s and what’s of the English language.

ACTIVITIES PART 2 

If you like studying alone and you can focus on your learning when you study alone, you can challenge yourself to learn difficult words. You will be able to express yourself in a much better way if you are well aware of more words and idioms. It is important to improve your vocabulary even if you are an intermediate learner. Try playing English language board games like Scrabble. This will be a much fun activity in order for you to memorize your vocabulary rather than just learning words. 

ACTIVITIES 3

It is important to take a break for a while after studiously learning English. Why not watch TV series and shows that help you with learning English. Choose the series or the show that you like or preferable choose humorous shows it will not just help you to learn English but the comedy will help you to relax your mind. You could see how people speak, their expressions, body language, facial clues, etc.
